Description

ZhenAn China Ferro molybdenum is usually smelted by the metallic thermal process. ZhenAn China Ferro molybdenum is an iron alloy of molybdenum and iron, generally containing 50 to 60 percent molybdenum, used as an alloy additive in steelmaking.

The main raw material for smelting ferro molybdenum is molybdenite (MoS2). Before smelting, molybdenum concentrate is usually oxidized and roasted in multi-chamber furnace to obtain roasted molybdenum ore with sulfur less than 0.07%. Ferro molybdenum smelting generally adopts the outside - furnace process. The furnace is a cylinder placed on a sand base, lined with clay bricks, with a reducing agent of 75% silicon ferric silicon and a few aluminum grains. After the charge is added to the furnace barrel, it is smelted by the upper ignition method. On the surface of the material with the initiator (saltpeter, aluminum debris or magnesium debris), that is, after the ignition of the intense reaction, and then, slag, remove the furnace. The ferro molybdenum ingot is cooled in the sand pit first, then sent to the cooling room for flushing cooling, and then broken and finished. Metal recovery is 92-99%. Molybdenum oxide pressing block is widely used to replace ferro molybdenum in steelmaking industry.
